Trust Open Day – 8 August 2026

August 8 @ 9:00 am1:00 pm

🌿 Rotoehu Ecological Trust Open Day

Join us for a special Open Day in Rotoehu Forest and see firsthand the work being done to protect one of New Zealand’s most important kōkako populations.

This is a great opportunity to meet the team behind the Rotoehu Ecological Trust, learn about the conservation work taking place in the forest, and see how volunteers and community support are helping restore this special ecosystem.

Throughout the morning we’ll share stories from the project, demonstrate some of the tools and technology used in conservation, and talk about the work being done to protect native species like kōkako and pekapeka (bats).

Whether you’re curious about conservation, interested in volunteering, or just keen to learn more about the forest, everyone is welcome.
