Happy Mother’s Day 💚 To celebrate our mothers
Happy Mother’s Day 💚 To celebrate our mothers this Mother’s Day, here is a photo of a chicken and hen fern we captured yesterday at our workday in the forest. These unique ferns have a captivating reproductive strategy, where they produce two distinct types of fronds: the larger, sturdier fronds are dubbed ‘hen’ fronds, while the smaller, more delicate ones are affectionately called ‘chicken’ fronds. 🌱The smaller fronds cluster on the tips of the larger ones, reminiscent of a nurturing mother hen raising her chicks. 🐣 Share this with your mother to let her know you are thinking of her today, or take a moment to cherish their memory if you can’t celebrate with her today. 🌿
