Another year of pest control is now complete. It h Another year of pest control is now complete. It has been a tricky year with the weather but we are happy with our results. A great big thank you to all the volunteers who have turned up this year and all our sponsors who have made this year possible.
Big thanks to everyone who turned up and helped at Big thanks to everyone who turned up and helped at our workday last weekend. As an extra surprise, we had some pots of @kokakocoffee on hand (maybe new workday requirement). 

We have another workday on the 29th of October (weather dependant) to undertake some rat monitoring. More information will be sent out next week.

It’s always special to hear a dawn chorus at Rot It’s always special to hear a dawn chorus at Rotoehu. The #kokako are currently gearing up for what will hopefully be another successful breeding season so are extra vocal.

Especially when we could finish the day with fresh, hot coffee brewed by Mr @kokakocoffee himself (@trellicktower) and the rest of the crew who travelled all the way from Auckland to help out.

Some last minute seedling and sapling monitoring o Some last minute seedling and sapling monitoring of our new block which will have its first ground based pest control starting on Wednesday. It’s fantastic to get this pre monitoring completed as it will help to show if our pest control is working: lots of seedling equals less browsing animals or seed-eating pests in the bush which in turn equals happy biome!
